  1. Hi, I am interested in working as a volunteer at the library. I am a retired lawyer/homemaker who has patronized the library for years. Please let me know if you are looking for helpers! Holly Glidden

    • Holly, I can’t speak for the library, which may have its own volunteer pool, but we’d love to have you as a member of the Friends and a Friends volunteer. You can pick up a membership form at the Friends’ Book Nook in the library lobby and indicate that you’d like to volunteer. You can also join on the website and then email (We’re a membership-based nonprofit, and dues are an important part of our fundraising effort.) – Terri Evans, President

  2. I am trying to leave a donation for myself and my husband. I do not want to do it thru PayPal and I was unable to do it thru my credit card. Also how do I put both of our names on the donation?

    • Julie, I apologize for this overdue reply! We would welcome your donation, and the simplest way may be to pick up a membership form (on a rack near the library’s front door) and write a check (to Friends of the Morse Institute Library) in the amount of your choosing. Put it in an envelope addressed to the Friends and turn that in at the Circulation Desk, asking them to put it in the Friends’ mail basket. Thank you so much!

    • Pam, thank you for your offer of a large number of books to donate. I’m afraid we are not able to pick up book donations, but if you can get them to the library in boxes of bags, there’s a donation cart in the Book Nook just inside the front door. So we don’t get overwhelmed, we ask people to drop off no more than 4 bags or 4 boxes at one time.
