Summer Reading Programs

What did you read this summer? For three years, the Friends have sponsored the adult and children’s summer reading programs.  In 2025, close to 200 adults took part in the program, with the theme of “Level Up With Your Library,” and had 799 entries in the reading competition.

It’s as much a celebration of reading as it is a rewards program, but it’s always great to have an incentive. If you’re not familiar with the program, the adult summer reading program operates on a simple principle:

•  Identify which of the adult reading program prizes you want to go after.

•  Look at the milestones you need to achieve it.

• Get to work reading!

Popular prizes this summer included an Amazon Fire tablet and a Lego ‘Lucky Bamboo’ set.

What are you planning to do next summer? The 2026 adult reading program starts next June!
